Warehouse Logistics Specialist
Job description
The warehouse logistics specialist is responsible for all activities undertaken as part of the planning, management and handling of loads, i.e. admission to the warehouse, storage and shipment. Their task is to control and monitor the flow of goods at the storage stage and to adapt the available resources to the current demand for the effective operation of the facility.
Duties and responsibilities
Work in the area of contract logistics:
- daily contact with logistics operators
- control and development of cooperation in the field of loading and unloading of goods in the warehouse
- optimisation of processes with operators and conducting joint savings projects
Work in the area of storage:
- supervision of pallet management (purchase/rental of pallets, monitoring the return of pallets from customers)
- management of warehouse capacity and efficiency
- supervision and completion of warehouses inventories
Required skills and qualifications
- At least secondary education,
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel,
- Knowledge in the field of contract logistics, warehousing, understanding the principles of operation of supply chains,
- Ability to plan the working day and be systematic.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Ability to speak English or German.
